[WFRP 1e] The Enemy Within 14
(Side Note: I missed sessions 12 and 13 due to the holidays and moving.)
Wilfried - Human Fence
Gottlieb - Human Bounty Hunter
Martin - Human Scout
Othmar - Human Charlatan
Wilhelm - Human Wizard Apprentice
(Previous Notes)
Wilfried wasn't sure how he made it out of Bogenhafen alive. The manor house was burning, fists were flying, and dangerous looking people were transforming into more dangerous looking daemons. However, the next thing he knew, he was alive and back on the boat floating toward Altdorf.
When the literal and figurative smoke cleared, the party found themselves in another little town, looking for an apothecary who went missing. Her name was Elvira. All signs pointed toward a kidnapping, leaving Elvira in the hands of at least 3 men who had her trapped in a red barn.
At the barn, Gottlieb circled around back to scout the locale. Martin and Wilfried pulled the barn doors open, while Wilhelm to magically talk down the ruffians inside. The ruffians admitted to working for someone named Hans Zalber. The talking down was of questionable effectiveness, and a fight ensued.
Wilfried swung his club and crushed in the chest of one of the ruffians. The other two thugs surrendered. Elvira admitted to being hired by Herr Zalber to mix a curious preparation. She reluctantly admitted that the ingredients could be used in dark magic.
It seems Albrecht Zalber was a known Daemonologist who lived in Altdorf.
The party's boat was mostly filled with wool when a desperate wineseller approached looking to unload some...untaxed crates. Wilfried agreed to buy as much as he could afford to unload for the wineseller.
When they finally arrived in Altdorf, the party sold their wool, and Wilfried looked for some underground contacts to sell the wine. He was told he could meet the daughter of a buyer in a sketchy joint known as The Boot. When he arrived at the boot, the lady in question shook Wilfried's hand and then walked out. Wilfried was left confused...even more so when he noticed a purple handprint that was left behind on his skin from shaking the woman's hand.
Wilfried found a place to sell a quarter of the wine, as well as a place to buy a pair of gloves. The handprint didn't look like it was going to fade soon.
